Ive been dating a man for nine months now. I know him for two years. I asked him for a committed relationship back in December and he told me to give him til Valentine Day cause he recently came out of a relationship. When Valentine Day came he just couldnt commit. He states that he love me and wants to continue to only date me but he doesnt want the “status”. So yesterday he expressed his love for me and told me that within six months he will give me a committment. Should I believe him and wait or is he playing me for a fool? We are adults in our thirties and this feels like a teenage game to me. Whats your honest opinions

So, I have been married my entire adult life (I’m 35), but now I’m single and I have children. I’m seeing a man who is really sweet and really good to my children, and they love having him around. He has his own place but he will come over a few nights a week to sleep over. But he has his own friends and two teenage children who don’t live with him, but who he sees sometimes. What’s weird is, the kids and I get used to having him here on certain days… and when he wants to spend time at his own place or doing his own thing I can tell my kids are hurt, and to be honest I feel hurt, too. I know I can’t try to tell him how to spend his days but it hurts that he comes here some days, and then not others. Basically how do you handle a part time “dad” and “husband” who just comes and goes? I’ve never been in a relationship like this and it’s weird to be intimate with someone who is not here full time. We’ve been seeing eachother a few months and I know he loves me enough that he tattooed my name on his chest (his only tattoo) but I’m not sure what his intentions are or how to feel or act.Any suggestions? Thanks!!
